Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography or SD-OCT is the newest technology in retinal imaging allowing for the earliest diagnosis of eye disease and for the follow-up of patients with risk factors fo retinal disease associated with systemic conditions such as multiple sclerosis and diabetes, those who are taking medications such a plaquenil or with eye disease or family history of eye disease such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.
