Dr. Steven Smoke is from Dearborn, MI. He completed his undergraduate studies at Central Michigan University. In 1987 he received his Doctorate of Optometry from the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry. He served an externship at the Fort Sheridan Army Hospital specializing in ocular disease and contact lens fitting. He is an active member of the Southwest Michigan Optometric Association.
He supports his communities with membership in the local Chamber of Commerce in Buchanan, New Buffalo and Dowagiac. He volunteers his time for vision screenings, teaching and lecturing on eye health topics. He is a member of the New Buffalo Lions Club.
Dr. Smoke is an avid outdoors man. He is a founding member of the DSS, a fly fishing organization. He enjoys time preserving and improving the natural habitat for the wild game animals. He is a member of the Wild Turkey Federation which devotes effort to improve habitat for the bird.
